Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Aurethia Edit handles personal data when you visit aurethiaedit.com, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Aurethia Edit is operated by BORDAR D.O.O., Vanganel 2b, 6000 Koper, Slovenia, which is the controller of the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email info@aurethiaedit.com.

2. Visiting and protecting the website

Our WordPress website and hosting services process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and security events. Our hosting and email provider is Domenca. We process this information for our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website, investigating errors and preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Essential cookies support functions such as security, administrator login and remembering privacy choices.

3. Contact forms and email

When you contact us, we process the contact details you provide and the contents of your message so that we can respond and manage your enquiry. Website contact forms use SureForms; submissions are stored in our WordPress administration and delivered to our email inbox. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract where your enquiry concerns a potential contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Providing contact details is voluntary, but without a way to contact you we may be unable to reply. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

4. Newsletter subscriptions

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage newsletter subscriptions and deliver emails. If you subscribe, your email address and subscription information are processed by Brevo on our behalf. We use double opt-in: you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Subscription and confirmation records help us document your choice.

Newsletter marketing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent. We may retain the limited records needed to demonstrate consent and honour an unsubscribe request, based on our legitimate interests in accountability and preventing unwanted messages. For information about Brevo, see its Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies, consent and embedded services

SureCookie manages our cookie preferences. You can accept or reject optional categories and change your choice through Cookie Preferences in the website navigation or footer. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from reading our articles, although some embedded features will remain unavailable. Consent to optional cookies and related processing is voluntary (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The current configuration remembers your cookie choice for 365 days. Consent logging is enabled and configured to automatically delete consent logs after 365 days. We keep these records to manage and demonstrate privacy choices. The preference panel provides the available categories; a category being displayed does not mean that every type of tracking is active.

Google Fonts resources from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com are currently classified as Functional. Our embedded Brevo subscription forms from ab72438c.sibforms.com are classified as Marketing. These resources are configured to remain blocked until the relevant consent is given. Loading an external resource establishes a connection to its provider and can disclose your IP address and browser information. You can instead contact us by email if you prefer not to load a form.

Changing preferences affects future loading of optional resources. It may not remove cookies already stored by third parties; you can also delete these through your browser settings. External websites that you choose to visit have their own privacy and cookie notices.

6. Affiliate links and Awin

Aurethia Edit plans to use affiliate links, which may earn us a commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase. As of the date of this policy, our Awin publisher account has been approved and Awin tracking has not been installed on this website.

Before activating Awin tracking, we will update the relevant disclosures and consent controls to describe the data collected, purposes, recipients and applicable roles. Any non-essential tracking requiring consent will be subject to that consent. You can read Awin’s Privacy Policy for information about its services.

7. Who receives personal data?

Personal data is available to authorised people managing Aurethia Edit and to service providers supporting hosting, email, forms, newsletter delivery and website maintenance, as necessary for their tasks. The services relevant to the processing above include Domenca and Brevo; SureForms and SureCookie provide functionality within our WordPress website. External embedded-resource providers receive connection data when their resources are loaded. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

8. International processing

External providers may use infrastructure or subprocessors outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred to a country without an applicable adequacy decision, GDPR requires an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses, together with any necessary additional safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy. Provider privacy notices also explain their international processing arrangements.

9. How long we keep data

We retain enquiry records for as long as needed to answer the enquiry and deal with related follow-up, contractual obligations or legal claims. Newsletter contact data is used while your subscription remains active; after withdrawal, only information needed to respect the withdrawal, demonstrate consent or meet applicable obligations should be retained. Technical and security records are kept for the period needed to operate the site and investigate incidents. Retention depends on the purpose, applicable legal requirements and whether an unresolved dispute or security incident requires preservation. Cookie-choice and consent-log periods are described above.

10. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable data-protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and you may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, email info@aurethiaedit.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity. We will normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it within that month.

You may lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) or the supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this notice when our services or data-processing practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Where a change requires fresh consent, an updated notice alone will not replace that consent.
